Overshadowed by the seemingly never ending news of trade deals and new aircraft purchases at the Singapore Airshow, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) stand at the airshow had this scale model of a Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master trainer in the markings of the RSAF. The markings are for 150 Squadron, which is based at Cazaux, France as the RSAF's Advanced Jet Training (AJT) detachment and is currently flying the A/TA-4SU Super Skyhawk. These are slated to be progressively replaced by 12 M-346s on order, with the first RSAF M-346 to be delivered sometime this year.
